Doolittle Art Auction

The art auction to benefit Foxboro's non-profit nursing home, the Doolittle Home, will be held at the Foxboro Country Club, Saturday evening March 15. This will be a fun event with many great pieces of art to choose from. Members and friends of the Foxboro Art Association have donated over 40 outstanding pieces to choose from -- including paintings donated by Copley Society artists Dianne Panarelli Miller and Eli Cedrone. Dianne's donation is titled "Child's Play" and Eli's painting is titled "Requiem".  All donations can be viewed at the Boyden Library beginning Feb. 3. Advance tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling Virginia at the Doolittle Home at 508 543-2694 or by e-mail at www.doolittle-home.org.

Reminders

Jan 22: Vera  Cross will be having her artist's reception Wednesday evening, Jan. 22, at 7 pm at the Sharon Community Center, 219 Massapoag Ave., Sharon. Vera is exhibiting 32 pieces, featuring some of her fashion watercolors from the 1940s.
Jan. 25:  Beth Knaus will present a free presentation on the art of Winslow Homer at 1 pm Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25, at the Walpole Public Library, 143 School St., Walpole.
Feb 1: Saturday, Feb. 1st at 12 pm is the drop off date at the Boyden (Foxboro) Library for art donations for the Doolittle Art Auction. The works will be hung at the library until the Art Auction on Saturday, March 15. Note that the auction has been rescheduled from March 1 to March 15.
