Art Reception :: Friday, October 1st

I'm delighted to announce that Tony Donovan and Kim Morin Weineck (that's me, author of this post) will be the featured artists at Gallery9's First Friday reception on--you guessed it--Friday--October 1st from 6-8pm in the Norwood Gallery.Gallery9 is a wonderful space to showcase emerging and established artists' work. The gallery has a wide client base who appreciate original artwork.
Consider submitting your work to be shown in the gallery. They are always happy to discuss work with local artists.The First Friday openings are a lot of fun and everyone is welcome for conversation, artwork, and light refreshments.

Zullo Gallery reception is this weekend


This Saturday, September 25, from 7-9pm, the Zullo Center for the Arts will be holding the reception for their 16th Annual Juried Exhibition Show. Foxboro Art Association members Ellen Little and Ann Gorbett both have paintings included in the exhibit.

Lasalette Shrine Art Festival Sep. 24-26

A series of art events featuring 12 well-known artists are planned over three days, Friday to Sunday, Sep. 24-26, at the La Salette Shrine, 947 Park St., Attleboro, MA. Plein Air Painting exhibitions, demonstrations ($5 each), and discussions are scheduled. Featured artists are John Caggiano, T. A. Charron, Robert Duffy, Paul Goodnow, Mike Graves, Barbara Lussier, Christopher Magadini, Margaret McWethy, Dianne P. Miller, Tony Nyzio, Catherine Raynes, and Eric Tobin. Many events are free. October Members Show Reminder

All members are encouraged to participate in our October Members Show. Remember that you must pay your dues ($25) to participate, plus $5 for each work you enter. This fee is for buying the ribbons and paying the judge. There is only room for 2 works per person. Applications should be mailed no later than Sep. 25 to the Foxboro Art Assn, PO Box 440, Foxboro, MA 02035. (We need the information in advance to organize the program.) Drop off your works Saturday MORNING, Oct. 2, 10-noon. Paintings will be hung that day and judged the following Monday. We ask that you stay away while the works are being judged (unless you plan to pay a substantial bribe). Ribbons will be awarded at the October meeting, Wednesday evening, Oct. 13. You are asked to retrieve your works no later than Saturday MORNING, Oct. 30, to make room for the next exhibit.

Art Reception :: Thursday, Sept 16

Susan Kelley, an accomplished artist and teacher, is showing 56 paintings at the Norfolk Library and will be hosting a reception on Thursday Sep. 16, from 6-8 pm. Refreshments will be served.
