Jill Pottle Art Classes
One of our exceptional demonstrators from last year, Jill Pottle, is offering a variety of painting classes in oil and acrylics this Fall in Lincoln, Mass. 12 Wednesday mornings (fundamentals), 9:30-12:30, at a cost of $420 ; 12 Wednesday afternoons (painting landscapes) 1:30-4:30, for a cost of $420; and 8 alternating Saturdays (painting/drawing the figure), $280 plus $45 modeling fee. Art Classes @ Patriot Place
Due to many requests from visitors to the art gallery at Patriot Place, four of the artists there will offer varied painting classes at different times this fall, both in watercolor or oil and acrylic. For more info or to register, please contact the instructor for the class of your choice.
Loosening Up with Oils or Acrylics (for Ages 16 and up)
This class is for anyone who would like to try a more “PAINTERLY” approach to landscape and/or figurative works. Painting from photographs and by studying the work of the “Master Impressionists” we will learn to “SEE” like an artist. Students should have some drawing skills. This class is all about painting in a very relaxed atmosphere and it is my hope to inspire and help your creativity.

Tuesday Evenings: 9/17, 9/24, 10/1 and 10/8 [6:00pm to 9:00pm]
4 week course: choose from mornings or evenings

Introduction to Palette Knife Painting for Adults
Put down the brush and pick up a palette knife! These 3 hour workshops will focus on the techniques of using only a palette knife to paint oil paintings. Palette knife painting offers a unique look-thick texture, pure colors and expressive style. No turpentine or other solvents needed - just wipe the knife with a tissue to keep your colors clean. All materials will be provided so you can just show up and paint!
Choose from 3 dates, $45/session
Saturdays: 9/14 - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
10/26 - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
12/7 - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

Basic Watercolor Class Ages 16 and up
Students will learn to paint the basic elements of a landscape creating a watercolor painting from their own photos. Some materials will be provided but students are responsible for acquiring their own supplies. A list of materials will be issued at time of registration.

An opportunity to explore the exciting medium of watercolor. I will cover
many "how-to" techniques while working from a new still life each week.
Some materials provided. A list of materials will be available at the

$100 for 4 two and a half hour classes.

Call to Artists-deadline August 25
Embark on a journey into the wild through your artistic perspective. “Untamed”, the upcoming juried art exhibit at Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Gallery seeks to explore the world of wildlife. Let your imagination be your guide to reveal untamed animals, aspects or perceptions of an animal, real or fantastic which will be expressed through your artistic creativity. The juror for this show is Mim Brooks Fawcett, Executive Director at the Attleboro Arts Museum.
Any medium is acceptable. Artists are invited to submit up to five (8”x10”) photographic prints only of your work for judging purposes. All prints must be labeled on back with contact information, dimensions, title and medium.
Entry fee is $15 and please provide a stamped return envelope for your artwork.
