Kim Weineck on TV & Internet
Kim Weineck, artist and teacher, recently appeared on Foxboro Cable Acces TV demonstrating how to paint with pastels. The DVD, which is almost an hour and a half long, makes a great educational gift and is available for $20 at the Foxboro Cable station, 28 Central Strret, in downtown Foxboro.
But you can watch it for free on the internet if you go to video.fcatv.org and click on the Community tab. It is titled "Artistic Flair - Episode 4". It is definitely worthwhile.

If you missed our last meeting in May, you can still view the demo on line, courtesy of Foxboro Cable Access TV. The demo was by Kim Weineck on Framing For Artists and has lots of tips on how to frame works of art. It runs over an hour and is definitely worth watching. Check it out by clicking on the link here:

Re-Opening June 14
The Art Gallery & Studio at Patriot Place has re-opened in its new, more central location -- around the corner from its former location, and across from Davio's. The weekend hours are the same as before: Friday 5-9, Saturday 1-9, and Sunday 12-6. Come browse all the local art by members of the Foxboro Art Association. A combination reception and paintout is scheduled for Saturday, June 28. And if it rains, we will be protected by the solar panels/roof which was erected last year around the corner.

The Boyden Library is showing a new exhibit of 34 labor-related posters collected by Stephen Lewis during June. These posters combine both history and art, because many of the labor events hired artists to design the posters. (One of theses is pictured here.) Mr. Lewis also has an exhibit of posters of "Black Leaders" from around the world at the Norton Library and posters of the "99% Resist" movement at the Wrentham Library. So if you are in the neighborhood in June....
